Puppy Update

18 August, 2005 - 3:45 pm

It’s been a week and a half since we got Jack. He’s a wonderful addition to the family.

I’m over my dog-tired stage.

Dog-tired: Tired of the dog, tired of thinking about the dog, tired of purchasing products for the dog, tired of keeping an eye on the dog.

He’s housebroken already. - Knock wood- We are on day for of consistent going outside and asking to be let out. And he won’t come back in unless he’s done. I consider this a good sign.

He does not bark at the cat. He pins the cat to the floor and makes the cat meow. But he doesn’t bark. Even when the cat attempts to steal his knotted sock.Cat Invasion

He happily naps in his crate with the door open. And when we have to close the door he never whines. Unless – conveniently – he needs to be let out. Last night that was at 12:30.

AM

I love walking him. Of course it’s in the Mid-seventies today and the roads are not muddy… We walk for a ways and then when we turn around to head home, Jack breaks into a run and we sprint back.

He’s a good dog. Let Sleeping Pups Lie
