Mother's Day

2004-05-09 - 10:48 a.m.

It’s Mother’s Day so we slept in a bit.

That means 8:15.

The chickies came into our room and said “Happy Mother’s Day!” in unison. They were so cute standing there in their pink jammies. Then they gave me hugs and waited patiently until D and I were ready to get up. D made French Toast. There are a few things he cooks really well. French Toast is one and Steak sandwiches are another. Tonight he’s making us steak sandwiches. Yum.

Last night I started a garden calendar in Outlook. It will help me keep track of when I have to do certain tasks in the yard and I can add journal entries on things I notice. It will be good practice for when we have our own place. It should be helpful to see note the changes, problems and how we fixed them year to year.

Right now I’m done reading mail and I’ll post this and then be on with my day. In the summer especially I think I will have less weekend time to post. As was the case last summer.

But don’t worry, Dear readers, I promise to keep you posted.
