2004-04-03 - 11:09 p.m. I think the skunk may have moved on. I haven’t smelled skunk anywhere in almost a week and this afternoon I saw a woodchuck out on the front lawn. K is almost certain she saw him go under the porch. I’m betting if the woodchuck is willing to go under there at all there isn’t a skunk under there. Which is good news because even though I’d bought the mothballs we weren’t really confident about the skunk plan. K’s tooth still hasn’t come out. You remember it was the last week of February when I mentioned that it was loose. She’s still favoring it. She will only take bananas in her lunch box and she chews on the other side of her mouth. She’s afraid it will hus=rt. Or bleed. I don’t know. What I do know is that the tooth next to it is also loose and the new ones are growing in behind them. I’m ready to reach in there and pull. My folks are coming for a visit in the middle of April. The bad news is they descend like locusts on my pantry. The good news is that D and I will get a chance to go away together for a couple days. I think we are going to go to New Hampshire. Perhaps a day trip into Boston rather than staying ion Boston over night. It will be good. We haven’t had a night away from the kids in almost a year. We’ve been out on a few dates but not away overnight. I can’t wait. It should be a good time. K won’t like it. Any change in her routine tends to be a problem but H will have a great time and my folks will enjoy the time with the chickies. |
